CURRENT CARDIFF DRAGONS KORFBALL CLUB PLAYERS

The Boys

Steve Fung

    20091024_1508c

Our current leader, Steve graduated out of Cardiff UniversityKC into Dragons in `05, which puts Steve in the “expereinced” category if he likes it or not! Still resisting all attempts to play anything approaching technically accurate Korfball, Steve relies on some potent basketball shooting to keep himself dangerous.

Jack McNamara

Jacks previous includes Cardiff University, and British and English Students and his currents include the Welsh Korfball Squad going to the Europeans in ’10. Unlike Steve, Jack will only ever play with “proper” Korfball technique. Oh, and the odd bit of judo / rugby around the post (legally of course).

David Thomas

After very very many years of being called “the daddy” in jest, Dave pulled his (cough) finger out, and actually became one.  With a second on the way, Dave doesnt grace us with his old shcool skills as much as we would like, but he knows we are here if ever Cally needs a quiet Thursday night in!

Pete Obee

Another one from the glorious 3rd placed Cardiff Uni team of 1997, Pete brings a wealth of tricks, flicks and court awareness to the club. His ability to win penalties is second to none in the club!

Remco Broekhuisremco

Apparently Remco has played at the highest levels Korfball has to offer outside of International. This may or may not be true, but we will believe it just so he wont shout at us. Loudly.

Peter Miedziak

pete m

Cardiff University alumni and staff, Pete is a recent covert to the Dragons clan. Dr Miedziak may also be able to claim to be the cleverest person in the Dragons set up, which is a fairly decent achivement.

James Wilcox

James represents the best of the U19 boys at Cardiff Dragons. The only one perhaps, but neverless the best.  Comes all the way from Newport to play, so we must be doing something right!

Chris Dickson

Chris didnt come to us from Cardiff University, and therefore is a shining example of the Dragons recruitment policy. He will also be staring in the Dragons Xmas play. Possibly.

Magnus Dons

m dons

Magnus is one of the most experienced players in the club, with a history of infuencial service to the Scottish KA behind him. He is also an eagle eyed referee, so no cheating! He is also proudly awaiting a further child, so we place the u9′s in his hands.

Terry Matthews

 tdm

Terry is the annoying person at training blowing his whistle.

The Girls

Chrissy Rowlatt

Another one who never played before joining Dragons, Chrissy has thrown herself in completely and is one of the clubs leading socialites. Now sits on the committee so feel free to ask questions!

Sian Hunt

sian

Sian has played at every level in Wales, including for Wales! She has also been coached in Holland! Sian has also won the local league more times than anyone else. Which is just greedy.

Nicola Street

Current club secretary, Nicola never played Korfball before joining Dragons, so has come a long way in a short time. Has a habbit of getting injured, which she must loose.

Jess Evans

jess

Along with James, Jess is the newewst member of Dragons.  Must remember she is not playing netball when she trains!

Rachael Knight

Racheal is one of the most experienced girls and the clubs legal advisor!
