- Alex has already tried kayaking, so korfball was the obvious next step in her attempt to play all sports beginning with “K”. We look forward to her attempts at kabbadi. Attendance at traing has been slightly affected by moving to Alaska.

- Angharad Morgan

- A sensational first season in the second division saw Angharad finish as the top-scoring female. Defences in the top division initially proved a bit tougher, but she still scored heavily and managed a call-up to the Wales squad. All this and joint winner of club pin-up of the year. We thought it was all too good to be true, and Ang is currently taking a sabbatical to concentrate on work and netball (boo, hiss!)

- Dave Thomas

- Having guested for our second team last season, Taff has now fully made the switch from City, for the perfectly good reason that our kit is nicer. When fit, Taff was the top goalscorer in the league in 2004, but thanks to being injured for most of the following season he somehow won the good sportsmanship award instead. This obviously brought the award into such disgrace that it wasn’t awarded this year.

- Donna Waitt

- And people accuse Josh of being reluctant to abandon his student life… Donna spends so much time with the Cardiff Uni side that she may soon occupy a special committee position as official student liaison officer. Despite this, still managed to play every game for the Dragons and achieved her aim of averaging a goal a game. She would probably have scored several more if we’d let her take all the penalties she won. Then again, having seen her take penalties…

- Gareth Thomas

- Rachel’s other half, whose been persuaded to take the step up from watching to playing - only to find himself marking a Welsh international on his debut. Acquitted himself well though. His first love is rugby, and occasionally looks like he’s still using the same techniques. As long as it’s only the passing rather than the tackling, we’ll be happy.

- James Frost

- Proud owner of the most stylish car in the Dragons car park, which is no mean feat, James is just as stylish on court. No, let’s be truthful, he’s not. Instead he plays much like a whirling dervish, with elbows and legs flying everywhere. Despite this he has an excellent long shot and a pretty good running in shot. Is also probably the worst ever 6′3″ korfball player in collect. Apart from Terry.

- Joey Niblett

- Thanks to his intensive training schedule of going to Cardiff Uni sessions as well, Joey’s had another tremendous season, cementing his place in the first team. Joey’s previous profile suggested that apparently he drives terrifyingly fast. The “apparently” can now be deleted. May have thought that this would be his first profile ever not to mention his korfball habit of running around randomly very fast. Sadly, it’s not going to be.

- Club pin-up in 2005, Lee decided to take no chances in his quest to retain it, and joined the TA to sway all the girls who like a man in uniform. It worked even better than he could have imagined, as he’s now engaged. Also crucial to the success of the Pub Quiz team due to his incredible memory for everything he has ever heard. Just don’t get him started on quoting sitcoms.

- Pete Obee

- Pete got the meaning of sabbatical slightly confused, thinking it meant a seven year break. Previously played at Cardiff Uni at the same time as Taff which combined with his fondness for real ale suggest he might be a little short of match fitness. Possibly because he this meant he couldn’t run away fast enough, we’ve made him president.

- Last year, Rachel was Cardiff City’s social secretary, as well as another a consistent player for their first team. So, we’re delighted to poach her on two grounds. Current queen of recruitment, whether this is due to her persuasive powers honed by being a barrister or that she just has many more friends than the rest of us is unclear.

- Remco Broekhuis

- Came along trying to impress us with bogus credentials. Made up some nonsense about being Dutch, 6′6″ tall and having played korfball for longer than some of us have been alive. So we made him coach. Would probably get sleepless nights from trying to get us to play some semblance of proper korfball was it not the case that his lovely baby daughter already prevents him from sleeping.

- Sian Hunt

- Sian again captained the Dragons to winning the EKL and in doing so became the only person to win the first division title 3 times. Possibly the best defensive player at the club, and one of the friendliest too, so news that she’s not running off to London to make her fortune has been well received. Is now a one-woman publicity machine.

- Legends of the Past
Profiles of our sadly missed ex-players
- Amy Willis

- Amy’s job has taken her over the border to Shropshire to run their netball programme. This came as something of a blow to our aim is to get her to finally admit that korfball is better. It’s also reduced the number of interceptions we make by 50%.
-
- Appearances/Goals Dragons 1:
- 10/3
- Appearances/Goals Dragons 2:

- Caroline Lowdon

- Hardly had time to join us from Cardiff Uni, via a quick tour of the southern hemisphere, before departing for a job in North Wales, but still managed to be voted our most improved player in that time. Now playing for Manchester, when not saving lives in Wrexham
-
- Appearances/Goals Dragons 1:

- Appearances/Goals Dragons 2:

- Chris Gubby

- From starting playing to getting in the Welsh squad in the space of a year, along with winning two league titles with Dragons, Chris has had a great start to his korfing career. Obviously finding it all too easy, he’s taken up the challenge of trying to win the title with City.
-
- Appearances/Goals Dragons 1:
- 27/84
- Appearances/Goals Dragons 2:
- 6/7
- Gwenno Jones

- Another player choosing to return to City, we’ll miss Gwenno’s determination and interceptions. While she never made it into the first team, her departure significantly weakens the second team.
-
- Appearances/Goals Dragons 1:
- Appearances/Goals Dragons 2:
- 18/12
- Ian O’Sullivan

- Cain & Abel, Romulus & Remus, Michael & Fredo Corleone. The message is clear, brothers can’t be trusted around each other. So when Lee decided to join Dragons, it was inevitable that Ian would switch to City. He’ll be missed for his rapidly improving play, his determined socialising and for being willing to be treasurer.
-
- Appearances/Goals Dragons 1:

- Kat Smith

- The club’s deadliest finisher from 5 metres out. Perhaps playing for City she will soon master some more forms of scoring so that we can enjoy more of her hugely entertaining goal celebrations. Has also developed into an excellent defensive player. When not on court, Kat spends her days in a classroom with 5 year olds. Judging by the spelling in her emails she’ll be in that class for a while longer - joke (c) Taff.
-
- Appearances/Goals Dragons 1:
