About Us

Dragons formed in 2005 as an off-shoot of the Cardiff City club and we are still on very friendly terms with them - except when we meet on court! We have two teams that compete in the EKL, and in our debut season both teams managed to win their divisions. Each summer, we co-host a tournament with Cardiff City, you can see footage from 2006 on youtube.

While korfball is an inherently friendly sport, the first division is pretty competitive and we have four current Welsh international players in our first team squad. The second division is predominantly made up of recreational and beginner players. We also play in various tournaments around the country, particularly during the summer, and last summer also travelled to play in Stockholm.

The club also puts a strong emphasis on the social side, whether dressing up for our annual cocktail party or dressing down to go paintballing as well as various other events through the year.

We are always looking for new players, and no experience is necessary or expected. Korfball is played outdoors in the summer and indoors in winter. All training and equipment is provided, just bring a sports kit and trainers! As long as you’ve got some ability to pass and catch a ball you should be able to enjoy korfball. So, whether you want to keep-fit, meet new people or just try something different, why not give it a try - your first session is free.

Indoor Training runs from September-April, every Monday, from 7-9 at Cardiff High School.
Outdoor Training runs from May-August, every Tuesday, from 7-8.30 at Howells School.
Both at the bargain price of £4 a session.
